Zoe Apted is a board certified Physician Assistant who joined Heights Dermatology in 2019. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Edward’s University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. In 2014 she completed a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. After finishing her MPH, she went on to obtain a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from UTMB in 2016. Throughout her academic career Zoe received several academic scholarships and maintained a position on the Dean’s List.
Prior to completing her graduate studies, Zoe worked in clinical research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and Texas Children’s Hospital here in Houston. Additionally, she spent six months volunteering as a medical assistant at a rural hospital in Santiago Atitlan, Guatemala. During this time she discovered a passion for clinical care, which compelled her to pursue a career in medicine. She previously practiced in obstetrics and gynecology before moving into dermatology, a field of special interest to her. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Texas Association of Physician Assistants, and Texas Gulf Coast Physician Assistant Association.
In her free time, Zoe enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. She lives in the greater Heights area and is excited to serve her local community.
